Sources: starlink.com Residential and Roam order forms for the United Kingdom (Trafalgar Square, London; on 1 November 2026 also Hexham, Northumberland) and for Ireland (O’Connell Street Upper, Dublin; Belmullet, Co. Mayo), 25 October and 1 November 2026. Starlink now prices Residential by address in the UK – the order form shows the current offer for yours.
Rent, don’t buy
With a Residential plan Starlink rents you the dish and router for £0 upfront and £0 a month. The kit stays Starlink’s: if you cancel, you have to send it back – the order form says so. Every order comes with a 30-day trial: cancel and return the undamaged kit within 30 days and you get the kit and the first month’s fees back.
What’s different in the UK
Home plans cost £40, £60 and £80 a month in London – and £32, £48 and £64 in Hexham. That’s more than in Ireland, where the same plans cost €35, €55 and €75, and more than the €35 most euro countries in our Starlink price in Europe overview charge for 100 Mbps. Since 1 November 2026 the order form says “Starlink employs dynamic pricing based on supply and demand” – the price depends on the service address, so check yours.
The 100 Mbps plan comes with the Mini and a Router Mini. On 25 October 2026 the British order form listed a Mini rental and a Router Mini, both for £0, with Residential 100 Mbps; 200 Mbps and Max come with the Standard 4. You pay nothing upfront and nothing a month for the kit – only £19 shipping. How big the Mini is: Starlink Mini size guide.
Installation is free with Max. Most people set the kit up themselves. With 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps professional installation is an optional £74; with Max the order form offered “Free professional home installation via an authorised installer”.
With Roam you buy the dish. Roam 100GB costs £55 a month and Roam Unlimited £100. The Mini Kit costs £179 – £198 due today with shipping. Optional extras are the Car Adapter for £52, the Roof Rack Mount for £30, the Mobility Mount for £25 and the Router Mini for £55. Which dish suits you: Starlink Standard vs Mini.
No contract, but a longer wait. The British Residential form says “No contracts. Ships in 2-4 weeks.” – Ireland ships in 1–2 weeks. Roam ships in 1–2 weeks in the UK too, with “No contracts, 30-day trial.”
Frequently asked questions
How much is Starlink in the UK per month?
It depends on the address since 1 November 2026: Residential 100 Mbps cost £40, 200 Mbps £60 and Max £80 a month in London, but £32, £48 and £64 in Hexham, Northumberland. On the move, Roam 100GB costs £55 and Roam Unlimited £100 a month (starlink.com order forms, 25 October and 1 November 2026).
Why is Starlink cheaper at some UK addresses?
Starlink started address-based pricing on 1 November 2026. The order form now says: “Starlink employs dynamic pricing based on supply and demand. Every satellite launch expands our network, and as capacity grows in your area, prices can go down.” That day Residential 100 Mbps was £40 in London and £32 in Hexham. Starlink promises “a month’s notice before any change goes into effect”.
Is Starlink worth it as broadband in the UK?
It makes most sense where fibre or fast broadband doesn’t reach. Residential costs £32–40 a month for speeds up to 100 Mbps, £48–60 for up to 200 Mbps and £64–80 for Max (400+ Mbps where available), depending on the address, with the kit rented for £0 and no contract. The 30-day trial lets you test it at your address: cancel and send the undamaged kit back within 30 days and you get the kit and the first month’s fees back.
Do I have to buy the Starlink dish in the UK?
Not with Residential: the kit is rented for £0 upfront and £0 a month, and the order form shows £19 due today (estimated, tax included) for shipping. You buy the dish only for Roam – the Mini Kit costs £179.
How much is the Starlink Mini in the UK?
To own one, the Starlink Mini Kit costs £179 with a Roam plan – £55 a month for 100GB or £100 for Unlimited – and £198 due today with shipping; the Router Mini is an optional £55. With Residential 100 Mbps (£40 a month) the Mini comes rented for £0 together with a Router Mini, but that plan stays at your home address. How big it is: Starlink Mini size guide.
Is there a contract?
No. The British order form says “No contracts” for Residential and “No contracts, 30-day trial” for Roam. You can cancel; with Residential you then send the rented kit back.
How much is Starlink installation in the UK?
Installation is optional – most people set the kit up themselves. On 25 October 2026 professional installation cost £74 with Residential 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps and was free with Residential Max. Non-standard installations can cost more.
Is there a Starlink referral code in the UK?
Yes – Starlink has no discount code to type in, but a referral code gives new UK customers £40. Ours is RC-DF-16214453-40077-90 and the full link is starlink.com/gb?referral=RC-DF-16214453-40077-90: open it, enter your UK address and the checkout shows “Referral code applied” with the £40 (checked 25 October 2026). The code is ours, so we get a reward too; your price doesn’t change.
Do you still get a free month with a Starlink referral in the UK?
No. Older offers promised referred customers a free month, but Starlink has replaced it with a referral reward: the British checkout now shows “Referral code applied – By signing up with this code, you’ll get £40—cash or Starlink service credit” (checked 25 October 2026). Starlink pays it after two months of subscription, as cash or as credit on your bill.
How do I get the £40 referral reward?
Order a Residential or Roam plan on starlink.com as a new customer through a referral link. The checkout then shows “Referral code applied – By signing up with this code, you’ll get £40—cash or Starlink service credit.” Starlink says rewards go out from about 60 days after activation, and you need to stay subscribed for at least two months. Kits bought from shops don’t count.
How long does delivery take?
On 25 October 2026 the British order form said “Ships in 2-4 weeks” for Residential and “Ships in 1-2 weeks” for Roam. The £19 shipping is the only amount due at checkout for a Residential order.
